How membership works

What you are actually paying for

SeatOne seat, one shift

A membership is a numbered seat in a chosen shift, held from your start date to your end date. You are not queuing each morning for whatever happens to be open.

EntryAttendance on the record

Check in with your library ID and the day is logged. Your dashboard shows the days you actually sat, and staff mark you present by hand if a scan fails.

FeesA receipt for every rupee

Pay online or at the desk. Either way the payment is issued a receipt number you can open and download from your account later.

NoticesNotices and complaints, tracked

Announcements arrive in your dashboard. A problem with your seat, the wifi or a bill goes to staff as a complaint with a status you can follow.

How to join

Six screens, in this order

1. 01

   Sign in with Google

   The only way in, for members and staff alike. There is no password to invent and none to reset later.

2. 02

   Fill in your details

   Name, phone, branch, what you are preparing for, and an address — the same form staff would otherwise fill in for you at the desk.

3. 03

   Pay the registration fee

   A one-time joining fee, at whatever amount the library has set. You see the figure before you pay it and a receipt after.

4. 04

   Choose a shift and a seat

   Pick your hours, then your seat inside them. The booking map is the real, numbered version of the plan sketched above — the seats still open are selectable and the taken ones are locked.

5. 05

   Pay for the plan

   Online through the checkout, or in cash at the desk. Your membership dates run from the day the payment is recorded.

6. 06

   Sit down

   That seat is yours for every day of the plan. Give your library ID at the counter to be marked present, and the day joins your attendance record.
